I made it back in town from my vacation in time to hang out with this kid for his 5th birthday. I don’t know where the time has gone, but this sweet boy stole my heart long ago. I’m so grateful to be his Auntie and cherish every day I get to spend with him.
Still not sure about this candle business.
This kid steals my heart every time I get to see him, as do all the babes in my life. And much like all the others, he’s growing up too fast. Chase turns 2 next month!

Ceremony this morning and reception tonight means a little editing this afternoon for a quickie preview for the Moya and Flake families! Especially for those who couldn’t make it and photos via text aren’t cutting it. I was going to wait a day or two to post something, but then I got on the Facebook and saw that the fam had already been posting photos, so I figured why not? Kelly and Jake were sealed this morning at the Seattle Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located in Bellevue, Wa. The happy couple has their reception tonight which means more photos to follow and is off to Disneyland in the morning for the honeymoon. Congratulations to last Moya daughter! It’s been such a joy watching you grow up into such a beautiful young lady!
First kiss! Ok, maybe not…but the first one the whole family got to see.

Adventure time in the North Cascades! Our 12 mile hike that we planned for Larch Lake yesterday ended up being 21 miles, a 3,000 foot gain in elevation, 12 hours and only seeing Julius Lake. And it would have been longer if not for the kindness of a beautiful soul named Zeke who will be getting a thank you card and care package from the 4 of us. My best friend and her husband laughed at me when I told them we were going on a 12 mile hike, and rightfully so after playing a volleyball tournament the day before. It was about mile 6 that I couldn’t feel my legs or butt anymore. And about mile 9 after 3 miles on a steep incline with one more to go that I finally started having legit pain. I’d say mile 15 was when I would have done anything to get off the mountain.
Things I learned: Do research on more than one trail hiking website. Take the Aleve the first time you say you need to, not when you finally remember at the end of the hike. Your body will put up with a lot more than you think it will. Freeze dried meals aren’t that bad. And hiking poles are amazing. Today, all I can say is I made it out of bed this morning to work not feeling nearly as awful as I thought I would and managed to make some lovely pictures of fall colors.

Addi is now 4 months old and 11 lbs. She’s huge compared to the last time I saw her in July, but still bitty for her age. She’s a happy little girl and is starting to coo and interact with people more. I got to witness her putting her foot in her mouth for the first time today as well as getting thrown up on. As payback, I will be taking embarrassing photos of you for the rest of your life pretty girl!

Granted it was on Wednesday this week, the party was today. There were new friends and presents for Ryan, a Monster’s cake, and lots of family. This kid has lots of love in his life and it shows!

Shelbe proposed to Chauntae! And I got to sneak attack it! (This is what I was really doing at Kerry Park last night. I just wasn’t allowed to post.) These two had their first date in Seattle at Kerry Park many, many moons ago and so it seemed a fitting place for Shelbe to propose. They played “I Spy” the first time they visited and again tonight where it ended with a ring. I’m so excited for these two! There will be engagement photos to come in the near future, but in the mean time, share with me the beautiful moment!
She said yes!
The happy couple.
The first of many engagement pictures.
Off to have some dinner and celebrate.
I’m just a wee bit behind so I apologize for the mass posting and playing catch up. This was our trip to Ocean Shores back at the end of July. Stayed at a cute little place that was a short walk to the beach, played cards, hung out in the sand, napped. It was the bees knees gang and I will always go back there in a heart beat.

I got to play with the nephews this weekend and Ryan is super in to bubbles. He also likes to run fast like Mommy – who was busy on the treadmill. And this is what happened.
