Picture Editing Intern – Fall 2010 – Immersion in Aurora’s daily picture work flow for commercial and editorial tracks, including editorial picture editing, image exclusivity and copyright, retouching and cleaning commercial images of logos and brand names, quality checks of files and metadata all in a fast paced environment.

The Columbia Missourian

Assistant Director of Photography – January 2009-August 2010 – Responsibilities include working with editing and staff photography classes to develop shooting and editing skills, daily assigning, critiques, give feedback, working with other newsroom staff and editors to create a print and online product.

Designer – Spring 2009 – designed mostly feature and special section pages for print editions, some news layout experience, worked on web packages for special sections and events.

Picture Editor – Fall 2008 – worked with newsroom staff to produce and print and online product seven days a week, worked with the Arts/MUSE beat weekly, helped staff photographers grow through editing and feedback, daily assigning.

Staff Photographer – Spring 2008 – photographed general news, sports, and feature pictures as well as in-depth picture stories. Researched and pitched story ideas to editors.

Graduate Co-Coordinator – Spring 2008 – Worked within a four person staff to coordinate and execute the 2008 POYi competition with judging held at the University of Missouri and the annual awards ceremony held in Washington D.C. that spring under Director Rick Shaw.

Missouri Photo Workshop

Graduate Co-Coordinator – Fall 2008 – Worked to coordinate and execute the 2007 Missouri Photo Workshop held in Chilicothe, Mo. We had about 40 photographers and 10 faculty members along with a work crew from the University of Missouri to help make the documentary workshop run for the week under Directors David Rees and Jim Curly.

Rain City Volleyball Club

Head Volleyball Coach – January 1999-Present – The Rain City Volleyball club philosophy is geared toward teaching young girls volleyball and life skills under a team concept that includes all ages. I have coached all age groups in a team setting as well as individually and run clinics for the club regularly.  For the 2012-2013 season, I will be coaching the U-14’s team, Intensity.

1st Assistant Manager – September 2011 – October 2012 – Practicing and teaching Maurice’s excellent customer service values, monitoring and improving business statistics on the store and individual associate’s levels, merchandising new product on the sales floor and standard retail opening and closing routines.

Sales Leader/Associate – November 2006-March 2012 – Sales Leader working with a management team in and supervising customer service, product knowledge, and backroom organization for associates.

Columbia Volleyball Club

Head Coach – November 2007-June 2009 – Organized club tournaments, uniforms, practices, travel, and schedules for our U-18’s team. Worked in a team setting with an assistant and the girls to make it a positive learning environment for everyone.
