Around town: Chicago!

On Saturday, we got to see downtown Chicago. We went to lunch with my buddy Brett at Lou Malnati’s for pizza that was the best thing I have ever eaten. I will never look at pizza the same way. The day started out just fine. A little cloudy, but not a drop of rain. Brett dropped Lori and I off at the park so we could play tourist, and it started to sprinkle. And we tried so hard to wait it out, but after an hour of getting poured on, we gave in and tried to find the blue line to get back to Oak Park. Once we did find it, I couldn’t help myself but to take a few frames on the train. I’m not sure Lori had ever ridden a subway train before…Firsts all the way around this weekend! We made it back safe and sound by 11 last night and I know I slept like a rock today! Friday wedding photos to come soon!

Because you have to take a picture of the bean while you are in Chicago. It was wet and rainy and cold and Memorial Day weekend.

The wedding Friday was sunny and beautiful and outside. This poor bride (and party) were taking photos at the Bean, in the rain. I thought it was a hilarious moment so I stole a frame.

Lori waiting for the train. At least it was dry down here!
